The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth rankedSamsung Thunders ' (4-5) home victory over 9th ranked Skygunners (2-7) 85-83 on Sunday. Strangely Sono SG outrebounded Seoul Thunders 40-26 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) scored 20 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Seoul Thunders moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. Loser Skygunners keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Seoul Thunders will meet at home higher ranked KCC Egis (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sono SG will play against the league's second-placed LG Sakers (#2) and hope to secure a win.
